1. Who we are

TripFinder.ca is operated by HighBar Enterprises Ltd., a company based in Alberta, Canada. TripFinder is a travel comparison and referral service: we help you compare small-group tours from independent tour operators and connect you with a TripFinder travel agent who can help arrange your booking. 2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us. The main way we collect personal information is through our quote request form. When you submit a quote request, you may provide:

• Your name;
• Your email address and/or phone number;
• The number of adults travelling and the ages of any children travelling with you;
• Your preferred departure city and preferred currency (CAD or USD);
• The trip or trips you are interested in;
• Any notes or details you choose to share with us; and
• Your confirmation that you consent to be contacted about your request.

You can also contact us directly by email, in which case we receive whatever information you choose to include.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically records limited technical information for security and to operate the Site reliably — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view.

TripFinder does not use cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics tools, and we do not track your activity across other websites.

3. How we use your information

We use the personal information you provide to:

• Respond to your quote request and have a TripFinder travel agent contact you;
• Obtain pricing, availability, and trip details from the relevant tour operator(s) on your behalf;
• Arrange and support your travel booking and answer your questions;
• Operate, maintain, and secure the Site; and
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We rely on your consent to contact you about your request. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your choices and rights” below).

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

• Tour operators. To get you a quote, we share the details necessary to price and check availability for your trip with the relevant tour operator(s) — for example, G Adventures, Intrepid Travel, Exoticca, Exodus Adventure Travels, or Trafalgar. These operators use your information under their own privacy policies.
• Service providers. We use trusted providers to run the Site and our business, including Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (website hosting), and an email service provider (to deliver your request to our travel agents). These providers process information on our behalf and may only use it to provide their services to us.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TripFinder, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Storage and international transfers

Your information is stored in databases and systems operated by our service providers. Some of these providers, including Supabase and Vercel, may store or process information on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. When information is handled outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by their courts and government authorities. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep the personal information from your quote request for as long as needed to respond to your request, arrange your travel, and maintain our business records — and for a reasonable period afterward in case you contact us again or as required by law. When we no longer need your information, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Your choices and rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy;
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Withdraw your consent to be contacted (this may mean we can no longer process your quote request); and
• Ask questions or make a complaint about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tripfinder.ca. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

TripFinder is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you provide the ages of children travelling with you as part of a quote request, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian, or that you are otherwise authorized to share that information. We collect children’s ages only — not their names or contact details — and only to help price your trip.

10. Links to other websites

The Site links to tour operators’ websites and other third-party sites — for example, when you click through to an operator to learn more or book. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
