Today, set out on a tour of the Cape Peninsula and head to Boulders Beach to watch thousands of African penguins waddle about their business. Then visit the notorious Cape of Good Hope and climb up to the lighthouse at Cape Point for fantastic views.
Day 3Today is a day at leisure in Cape Town
Cape TownToday is a day at leisure in Cape Town. Hike up iconic Table Mountain with a guide, or hop on the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway for a quick ride to the summit, taking in incredible views of the Atlantic. Or opt to visit Two Oceans Aquarium to pay a visit to the resident clownfish and translucent jellies.
Day 4Fly from Cape Town to the Greater Kruger…
Cape TownFly from Cape Town to the Greater Kruger National Park and settle into your lodge, located at the gateway to the famed wildlife reserve.
Day 5Early in the morning hop into the open…
Early in the morning hop into the open jeep for a safari in Kruger National Park—home to the famed "big five". Spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and perhaps elusive leopards as you ride through this epic wilderness. We’ll criss-cross savanna, scrubland, and riverbanks on our daylong excursion.
Day 6Another safari drive awaits
Another safari drive awaits, as we look to spot the wildlife that eluded us before. The afternoon is at leisure. Relax by the pool at our lodge, or opt to experience the area by zip-line.
Day 7After breakfast
After breakfast, head to Chimp Eden for an encounter with our closest relatives in the animal world. Run by the Jane Goodall Institute of South Africa, Chimp Eden is the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary in the country. At Chimp Eden, we’ll get an opportunity to see rescued chimps living in a safe and secure sanctuary and learn more about these fascinating creatures. Later, arrive to Johannesburg and get settled in.
Day 8Transport yourself to millions of year ago…
Transport yourself to millions of year ago at the Cradle of Humankind, where the fossils of some of our earliest known human ancestors were discovered. Step down into Sterkfontein Caves, where the remains of “Mrs. Ples” and “Little Foot”—both more than two million years old—were found. This evening, tuck into a traditional South African braai (barbeque).
Day 9After a flight into ZimbabweVictoria Falls
Victoria FallsAfter a flight into Zimbabwe, join our local guide for a tour of Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls on Earth. Sp spectacular is the size, you can hear the falls’ thunderous noise from up to 24 miles away. Enjoy getting soaked in the mist from your vantage point at the overlook.
Day 10The day is free to explore Victoria Falls
Victoria FallsThe day is free to explore Victoria Falls. Embark on a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River; hit the rapids on a thrilling white-water rafting excursion; or take a memorable helicopter ride above the massive cascade. This evening, celebrate your new friends and the culmination of an awesome adventure at a farewell dinner.
