Day 3Explore Aswan before visiting a Nubian village…Enjoy some free time in the morning to browse the souk or walk along the Nile. Later, board a felucca (local boat) to reach Elephantine Island and visit a Nubian village. Walk around the small community, then enjoy a traditional dinner at a local home.

Day 4Spend the day exploring AswanOne of the most fascinating sights in the area is the Temple of Abu Simbel. Later, opt for a half-day tour of the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple. Visit the modern Nubian Museum to learn more about Aswan's local people.

Enjoy a guided visit Kom Ombo Temple before driving to Luxor. En route, visit the Temple of Karnak.
Day 7Travel by donkey and visit the Colossi of MemnonCross to the West Bank and travel by donkey. Visit the massive 18m (59 ft)-high Colossi of Memnon, which is all that remains of an ancient temple. Descend down the narrow corridors and check out the tombs of the pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings. The Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut literally seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone outcrops. Enjoy free time to explore Luxor; the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple are both well worth a visit. Learn about the ancient art of embalming at world's only Mummification Museum and the small, but beautifully presented, Luxor Museum.

Day 10Take a guided tour of CatacombsExplore the catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, the largest Roman burial site in Egypt, the National Museum, Pompey's Pillar, and Fort Qaitbey. In the afternoon, use some free time to visit the sights of Kom el Dikka, the only Roman theatre of its kind in Egypt, and the Montazah Summer Palace, known for its peaceful gardens. Opt to wander the seaside corniche or stop to enjoy a coffee at one of the many European style cafés.

Take a short bike tour to the fascinating Mountain of the Dead and the mysterious 6th century BC Temple of the Oracle. Opt to take a dip in Cleopatra's bath. In the afternoon, choose to enjoy the hot springs and dunes or take a trip by donkey cart out to a small village for the perfect desert sunset.
