Day 4Day 4: Walk to Beceite via the Mas…Today you have two walking options. The first begins with an optional transfer to the Mas de Bunyol observatory, a spectacular location for observing the region’s famous griffon vultures. Even before arriving you will likely see them soaring above the dramatic limestone cliffs, and from the hide you can watch these impressive birds gliding and circling at close range. After this remarkable wildlife experience, continue on a shorter walk to Beceite, following quiet paths through a landscape rich in history and rugged natural beauty. The second option is a longer and more challenging hike starting from your accommodation. The trail climbs steeply to the summit of Periganyol Peak (1030 m / 3380 ft). Although modest in height, the summit rewards your effort with magnificent 360° views across the entire region you explore on this trip. With a bit of luck, you may even spot dozens of vultures circling in the thermals below, offering a truly memorable perspective on this wild landscape. 14.5km/9mi, +512m/1680ft, -450m/1476ft OR 7km/4.4mi, +150m/492ft, -100m/328ft

Day 5Day 5: Transfer to trailhead for the Parrizal…South of Beceite, the Río Matarraña has carved a dramatic gorge through the rugged mountains of the Puertos de Beceite. Your day begins with a short transfer to the starting point of the well known Ruta del Parrizal, one of the most scenic walks in the region. The trail follows the river through a spectacular canyon of crystal clear pools, towering cliffs and lush vegetation. Wooden footbridges and narrow pathways guide you deep into the gorge, allowing you to walk just above the flowing water. The highlight of the walk is the Estrets del Parrizal, a strikingly narrow section of the canyon where sheer rock walls rise steeply on both sides of the river. From here you can return to the starting point by following alternative paths, offering different perspectives of this beautiful and dramatic landscape. Option 1: 9km/5.6mi, +660m/2,165ft, -660m/2,165ft Option 2: 11km/6.8mi, +570m/1,870ft, -570m/1,870ft Option 3: 17km/10.6mi, +580m/1,903ft, -580m/1,903ft

Day 6Day 6: Walk alongside rivers with pools…Leaving the historic gates of Beceite, the trail quickly leads into a peaceful agricultural landscape where fruit orchards and ancient olive groves line the banks of the Ulldemó River. Following quiet paths through this fertile valley, you gradually climb towards the Coll d'en Selma before entering the shaded pine forests of Tremolosa. As the forest opens, the scenery changes once again, revealing the broad valley of the Algars River. Along the way, the river forms a series of clear natural pools that are perfect for a refreshing swim on warm days. Near the end of the walk you arrive in the charming village of Arnes, where you may wish to pause for a drink at the local café. From here it is a short distance to your beautiful rural hotel just outside the village, where a welcoming atmosphere and an excellent restaurant provide the perfect end to the day. 15km/9.5mi, +180m/590ft, -280m/919ft
